Executive Summary
Why do people have sex? Some people have sex to experience the physical pleasure it brings. For others, it is a deep language of oneness spoken to another whom we love… and for others still, it is a human participation in the mystery of creation and redemption.
The acceptable norm is to make our own decisions regarding when and why we will have sex. “It may not be right for me, but if it is right for you, then go for it!” This relativism, coupled with a media message encouraging us to live & breath sex, leaves us with a lot to choose from, but little true freedom. Freedom is the ability to recognize and choose the greatest good.
Unfortunately, there is great confusion regarding what will bring about this freedom, and what is the greatest good. As a result, we have utter confusion and chaos. We see an increase in sexually transmitted diseases, babies having babies, marital infidelity, and worst of all, an increase the death of our own children. In summary, we have broken hearts, broken families & a society heading for its deathbed.
The Goretti Group was founded to support the community in its effort to make happy and healthy choices about sex and relationships. We offer a life of purity that leads to a deep understanding of the gift of true love and freedom.
While we hope for families to be the primary influence in promoting purity, we recognize the many influences external to the family. As such, we provide a means for the entire community to work together to develop lasting values today that will endure tomorrow. Our values, our families and our community depend upon it.
